Project title: Showcase site for a video and board game store.
Context: This project consisted of designing a showcase site for a store, with the aim of presenting its services, products and news. It was also an opportunity to introduce me to the use of the WordPress CMS.
Tools used: The local XAMPP server was used for deployment and management of the project during its development.
Estimated workload: The project took about 12 hours of work.
Period of completion: The site was developed between October 5, 2020 and November 23, 2020.
Objectives and functional needs:
- Implementation of an article management system to enable regular publication of content.
- Integration of a newsletter management system to maintain a link with customers and inform about new products.
Technologies used: The site was entirely developed using the WordPress CMS, allowing simplified management of content and functionality.
Documentation provided: A documentation entitled “How to install WordPress” was produced, detailing the steps to configure and implement the CMS.
Summary: This project allowed me to get started with the WordPress CMS, supplemented by active monitoring to deepen my knowledge and take advantage of the many possibilities offered by this tool.
