Project title: Showcase site for a delicatessen.
Context: This project consisted of designing a showcase site allowing a delicatessen to present its products, services and news. It was also an introduction to the WordPress CMS, as part of learning website creation tools.
Tools used: The local XAMPP server was used to host the project locally during development.
Estimated workload: The project took about 20 hours of work.
Period of completion: Development took place between September 30 and December 16, 2019.
Objectives and functional needs:
- Implementation of an article management system to allow the grocery store to publish content (new products, promotions, events).
- Integration of a newsletter management system to inform customers of news and special offers.
Technologies used: The site was developed entirely with WordPress, offering a simple and efficient solution for managing content and features.
Documentation provided: A documentation entitled “How to install WordPress” has been created, explaining the steps required to install and configure the CMS.
Summary: This project allowed me to familiarize myself with WordPress and to carry out in-depth monitoring to better understand the potential offered by this CMS, thus strengthening my skills in creating showcase sites.
