Project title: GestionAS – Application for managing different events.
Context: This project is part of an application maintenance and corrective approach. The objective was to maintain and improve an existing website, while providing corrections and functional additions for the management of events and students.
Tools used:
- Development : PhpStorm for writing and modifying code.
- Local server: XAMPP for local site deployment.
- Version management: Git and GitHub for change tracking and collaboration.
Estimated workload: The project took approximately 50 hours of work.
Period of completion: From September 1, 2022 to January 16, 2023.
Objectives and functional needs:
- Implementation and maintenance of an event management system, including their creation, modification and monitoring.
- Management of students participating in events, with the possibility of adding, modifying or deleting their information.
Technologies used:
- Front-end: HTML, CSS and JavaScript for managing user interface and interactions.
- Back-end: Symfony for dynamic feature management and data organization.
Documentation provided:
- A specification was used to frame the functional needs.
- User documentation has been produced to assist users in using the application.
Summary:
- This project allowed me to strengthen my knowledge of the framework Symfony, exploring its capabilities in a context of application and corrective maintenance.
- I gained experience in managing and improving a real project, including analyzing existing code and solving problems.
- Targeted technological monitoring allowed me to integrate effective solutions to meet maintenance and correction needs.
